Clarity Built Environment set to the task of developing an innovative concept that would drive press coverage, and ultimately increase the success of the Royal British Legion’s fundraising campaign while helping instill a sense of pride in its many employees connected to the armed services.

We analysed potential high-impact activity options and created the Poppy Sculpture concept.

Simple, attention grabbing and highly relevant, the Poppy Sculpture served as a collection point for public donations and a backdrop to various fundraising activities happening at London Waterloo around around London Poppy Day.

With each poppy standing at around three metres high and a metre wide, the Poppy Sculpture was unveiled to a huge crowd, including journalists, photographers and television crews from the national, regional and trade media.

The Royal British Legion, more than 80 members of the Interserve team and Network Rail all played a part in the day.

The results

£2k + donations

at the installation itself

£70k+ donations

received around the wider fundraising activity
